July 10, 2020NLRC EN BANC RESOLUTION NO. 002-20WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 225 [218], paragraph (a) of the Labor Code of the Philippines, as amended, the Commission has the power to promulgate rules and regulations governing hearing and disposition of cases;WHEREAS, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte issued Administrative Order No. 30 on 21 April 2020, directing all government agencies to immediately formulate and issue guidelines on the conduct of proceedings during the time of public health emergency, including but not limited to, the interruption of reglementary periods for the commencement of actions and claims, and the filing of pleadings, appearances, motions, notices and all other papers;WHEREAS, in the exercise of his exclusive administrative supervision over the Commission, its regional arbitration branches and personnel, including the Labor Arbiters, and pursuant to AO No. 30, the Chairman issued several Advisories, Memoranda, Orders and other issuances to expeditiously address administrative and adjudicative matters during the COVID-19 pandemic;WHEREFORE RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the en banc ratifies and adopts all said issuances of the Chairman for the duration of...
