April 20, 2017NLRC EN BANC RESOLUTION NO. 006-17WHEREAS, pursuant to the Philippine Development Framework, there is a need to improve and increase the delivery of services to the public; WHEREAS, Article 221 [214] of the Labor Code of the Philippines, as amended, provides among others that the "Commission shall establish as many regional branches as there are regional offices of the Department of Labor and Employment, sub-regional branches or provincial extension units";WHEREAS, under the DOLE 2017-2022 Priority Agenda, particularly the agenda to "bring more focus and accessibility to worker's protection and welfare programs, the NLRC's identified contribution is to create additional satellite or field offices;WHEREFORE, RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the En Banc hereby authorizes the Chairman to create satellite offices to make the services of the Commission more accessible to the workers.
