September 26, 2018NLRC EN BANC RESOLUTION NO. 006-18WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 225 [218], paragraph (a) of the Labor Code of the Philippines, as amended, the Commission has the power to promulgate rules and regulations governing hearing and disposition of cases; WHEREAS, the Commission en banc revisited the Rules pursuant to its mandate to provide the fairest, quickest, least expensive and most effective way to resolve labor disputes;WHEREFORE, RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the 2011 NLRC Rules of Procedure is further amended to read as follows:SECTION 6, RULE V:SECTION 6. BOND. — In case the decision of the Labor Arbiter or the Regional Director involves a monetary award, an appeal by the employer may be perfected only upon the posting of a bond, which shall either be in the form of cash deposit or surety bond in an amount equivalent to the monetary award, exclusive of damages and attorney's fees.In case of surety bond, the same shall be issued by a reputable bonding company duly accredited by the Commission, and shall be accompanied by...
