January 16, 2007NWPC RESOLUTION NO. 01-07WHEREAS, the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) is mandated under Article 121 of the Labor Code among others to formulate policies, guidelines, rules on wages, incomes and productivity and on the determination of appropriate minimum wage and productivity measures at the regional, provincial or industry levels; WHEREAS, pursuant to its authority to determine and fix the minimum wage rates under Article 122 of the Labor Code, RTWPB-V issued on 17 July 2006, Wage Order No. RB05-11 integrating the P15.00 COLA per day under W.O. No. RB05-10 into the basic wage and granting P11.00 to P20.00 daily wage increase to covered private sector employees in the region effective 07 August 2006; AEITDHWHEREAS, Section 10 of W.O. No. RB05-11 in relation to NWPC Guidelines No. 01, Series of 1996 (The Rules on Exemptions) allows establishments adversely affected by calamities to file application for exemption from the coverage of the said Wage Order within 75 days from publication of the Implementing Rules or up to November 10, 2006 only; WHEREAS, Region 5...
