August 6, 2012NWPC RESOLUTION NO. 02-12WHEREAS, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-National Capital Region (RTWPB-NCR) is mandated under Republic Act No. 6727, otherwise known as the Wage Rationalization Act, to determine and fix minimum wage rates applicable in the region and to issue the corresponding wage orders; cAaDCEWHEREAS, RTWPB-NCR issued Wage Order No. NCR-17 integrating the cost of living allowance under Wage Order No. NCR-16 into the basic wage and an additional COLA of thirty pesos (P30.00) per day payable in two (2) tranches: P20 took effect on June 3, 2012 and P10 to take effect on November 1, 2012;WHEREAS, Section 2 of the Wage Order provides, to wit:"Section 2. COVERAGE. — The P30.00 per day COLA prescribed in this Wage Order shall apply to all minimum wage earners in the private sector in the Region, regardless of their position, designation or status of employment and irrespective of the method by which they are paid.This Wage Order shall not cover household or domestic helpers; persons in the personal service of another, including family drivers,...
