July 16, 2020POEA ADVISORY NO. 98-20PHILIPPINE GREEN LANE TO FACILITATE THE SPEEDY AND SAFE TRAVEL OF SEAFARERS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMICIn view of the urgent need for crew change and repatriation of thousands of Filipinos and foreign seafarers docked in Manila Bay since April 2020, the public is hereby informed that the Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Justice, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Health, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Transportation, and their relevant attached agencies, have recently adopted Joint Circular No. 01, Series of 2020 entitled "Guidelines for the Establishment of the Philippine Green Lane to Facilitate the Speedy and Safe Travel of Seafarers, Including their Safe and Swift Disembarkation, and Crew Change during the COVID-19 Pandemic."The said Joint Circular shall take effect on 02 July 2020 to immediately facilitate the urgent crew change and repatriation of said seafarers.
