Philippines and Cambodia Signed MOA Concerning Cooperation in the Field of Labor

May 17, 2017POEA MARKET UPDATE NO. 04-17PHILIPPINES AND CAMBODIA SIGNED MOA CONCERNING COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF LABORA Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Concerning Cooperation in the Field of Labor was signed by the Philippines and Cambodia on 14 December 2016. The MOA aims to promote cooperation in protecting and promoting the rights and welfare of both countries' migrant workers; technical sharing in the area of skills development and labor productivity; sharing of information on the administration of both local and overseas labor and combatting trafficking in persons. The MOA also provides for the creation of a technical working group from both countries to support the implementation of the labor agreement.The signing of the said MOA on Labor Cooperation was entered into together with other agreements, namely, combatting trans-national crimes, tourism and sports. aScITE
