July 13, 1983POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 026-83TO:All Manning/Shipping Agencies Recruitment Agencies Contractors   SUBJECT:Reporting Incidents Involving Filipino CWs Overseas In many instances, it has been observed that incidents involving Filipino CWs employed overseas are not immediately reported to appropriate government agencies concerned especially the Ministry of Labor and Employment/P.O.E.A. except when government's assistance is urgently needed. This omission has prevented the taking of prompt and timely action by government on cases involving Filipino contract workers overseas in need of assistance. cdIn view thereof, all agencies are hereby enjoined to report all incidents involving Filipino CWs relative to violation of their employment contracts and/or foreign laws; accidents involving them; sickness and death; detentions; etc., to the P.O.E.A.For compliance.(SGD.)
