October 5, 2020POEA ADVISORY NO. 138-20RESUMPTION OF ISSUANCE OF WORK PERMITS FOR THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (UAE)On 05 October 2020, the UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA), in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), has resumed the grant of entry permits for domestic workers as well as employment permits for government and semi-government entities and vital facilities in UAE. The latest directive applies to all nationalities. HTcADCEntry of domestic workers with valid residence visas shall continue to be allowed, as well as holders of valid residence visas for workers in the government and semi-government entities, provided that the responsible party submits the application through the ICA's website https://www.ica.gov.ae.Strict health measures are still implemented in UAE ports. Pre-testing of COVID-19 prior to arrival is mandatory, including quarantine for arriving workers by their employers or institutions for a period of 14 days in coordination with concerned authorities.For the information and guidance of all concerned.
