June 29, 2010DOLE ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 262-10REVISED GUIDELINES ON THE MUTUAL AID SUPPORT SYSTEM (MASS) In the interest of the service, and pursuant to DOLE Association-Management Consultative Committee Resolution No. 03, series of 2010, the guidelines on the Mutual Aid Support System (MASS) are revised as follows: I. GENERAL PROVISIONA. CoverageMembership in the MASS is voluntary. All DOLE officials and employees in the Central Office, Regional Offices and Attached Agencies whether permanent, temporary and regular contractuals are eligible to become members of the MASS.B. Definition of Terms1. Member refers to a permanent, temporary or regular contractual employee of the DOLE.2. Beneficiary refers to the employee-member or dependent or authorized beneficiary.3. Benefit refers to the total amount the beneficiary-claimant is entitled to under the MASS.4. Dependents refer to the following:a. Spouse refers to the legal husband or wife;b. Unmarried children refer to the legitimate, legitimated, acknowledged, legally adopted or natural children who are still single;c. Parent refers to the natural or legally adoptive father or mother of the member; and5. Authorized Beneficiary/ies refer to the following:a. ...
