May 1, 2008POEA MARKET UPDATE NO. 16-09RP-KOREA COOPERATIVE PARTNERSHIP ON LABOR-MANAGEMENT EDUCATIONOn 01 May 2008, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Korea Labor Education Institute (KLEI) to establish a framework for cooperative partnership that will promote Labor-Management Education both in Korea and the Philippines. The MOU shall implement programs, projects and activities, on labor-management education including information and research sharing, exchange of personnel, including dispatch of experts, and support of study missions in the area of education for employment and labor relations. It will also involve trainings, seminars, workshops, forums and the like, aimed at enhancing the knowledge and building the capacity of stakeholders.
