May 15, 1987LABOR ADVISORYTO:All Private Sector Employers   SUBJECT:Special Three-Day Centennial Leave with Pay for Private Sector Employees within the Period 06 June 1998 to 15 June 1999 To commemorate and celebrate the centennial of the declaration of Philippine independence, President Fidel V. Ramos issued Administrative Order No. 392 dated 04 May 1998 enjoining all government offices, instrumentalities and other agencies to promote and encourage participation in the Philippine Centennial exposition 1998 or "Expo Pilipino" including its "Expo Pilipino Family Day" program.A special three-day centennial leave with pay at any time from 06 June 1998 to 15 June 1999 has been granted to all government workers to allow them and their families to visit and take part in the "Expo Pilipino." The same Administrative Order directs the Department of Labor and Employment to initiate and devise mechanisms to encourage private sector enterprises to grant their employees special leave benefits similar to those given to government workers.In line with the above, the Department hereby issues this advisory exhorting all private sector employers to grant a three-day centennial...
