August 17, 2016POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 005-16TO:All Concerned   SUBJECT:Temporary Suspension of Documentary Processing of FilipinoMeat Workers Bound for Australia In line with the Administration's thrust to ensure the welfare of Filipino workers and in response to the current shortage of live cattle supply being experienced by Australian meat processing plants leading to Filipino worker retrenchments, the processing of documents of Filipino meat processing plant workers bound for Australia is hereby temporarily suspended. Such suspension shall cover accreditation of job orders and processing of workers' employment contracts.This Order shall remain in effect until further notice.For strict compliance.(SGD.) HANS LEO J.
