Temporary Suspension of Flights to and from Kuwait

March 9, 2020POEA ADVISORY NO. 26-20TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF FLIGHTS TO AND FROM KUWAITThe State of Kuwait Directorate General of Civil Aviation issued Circular No. 27 dated 06 March 2020 declaring that flights from the Philippines including six (6) other countries (Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt) to Kuwait International Airport and vice versa are temporarily suspended for one (1) week starting 06 March 2020. HTcADCAll arrivals in the State of Kuwait from any nationality who have a valid residency or previous entry visa, as well as those from other airports who were present in the countries mentioned above during the past two weeks are prohibited.As such, all private recruitment agencies (PRAs) are requested to notify/postpone/assist in the rebooking of flights of their hired OFWs who have been processed for deployment during the period of suspension at no cost to the workers.Likewise, everyone is enjoined to continuously monitor further developments relative to the suspension.For the information and guidance of all concerned. (SGD.)
