March 12, 2020POEA ADVISORY NO. 25-20TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF TRAVEL TO THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIAThe Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has imposed a temporary travel suspension, effective 12 March 2020 to 12 more countries including the Philippines, bringing the total to 39 countries. Holders of valid residency (iqama) from the countries covered by the travel ban are required to return or exit from the Kingdom before the travel restriction takes effect within a 72-hour period or three (3) days from 12 March 2020. aScITEExempted from the temporary travel suspension are Filipino health workers returning to the Kingdom and evacuation shipping and trade trips. Returning health workers will undergo special medical evaluation upon their arrival in the Kingdom.
