June 25, 2020POEA ADVISORY NO. 86-20UNITED KINGDOM'S (UK) BORDER RULES AND EXEMPTIONS TO ALL INBOUND TRAVELERSThe Government of the United Kingdom (UK) announced travel and quarantine rules for its residents and migrant workers, including UK-bound travelers and visitors that took effect on 8 June 2020 as part of the measures implemented by the Kingdom to contain the spread of COVID-19, as follows: HTcADC1) Providing Contact Details Prior to Travel to the UK. Prior to travels to the UK, an online form that can be accessed through the UK government website, www.gov.uk should be filled out providing one's journey and contact details for health monitoring purposes. Refusal to comply with the said requirement can be a ground for denial of one's entry into UK in the case of visitors. For British or UK residents who fail to meet this requirement, a fine of £100.00 shall be imposed.2) Self-Isolation Upon Arrivala) Upon arrival, self-isolation for a period of fourteen (14) days is required either at the home or a place of choice by the traveler.
