EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 1054

Accelerating the Alcohol Program and amending Executive Order No. 580 which created The Alcohol Commission.

• Reorganizes the Alcohol Commission to accelerate the implementation of the Alcohol Program. (Section 1)
• The Alcohol Commission shall be composed of the following: (Section 2)
- Secretary of Agriculture as Chairman
- Secretary of Trade and Industry as Vice-Chairman
- Secretary of Finance
- Secretary of Health
- Secretary of Labor and Employment
- Secretary of Science and Technology
- Secretary of Energy
- Director-General of the National Economic and Development Authority
- Administrator of the Philippine Coconut Authority
- Administrator of the Sugar Regulatory Administration
- President of the Philippine Virginia Tobacco Administration
- Executive Director of the Alcohol Commission as ex-officio member
• The Alcohol Commission shall have the following powers and functions: (Section 3)
- Formulate and implement the Alcohol Program
- Coordinate all government efforts relative to the production, manufacture, and utilization of alcohol
- Recommend policies, programs, and projects to promote the alcohol industry
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Alcohol Program
- Perform such other functions as may be necessary to carry out the objectives of the Alcohol Program
• The Alcohol Commission shall be assisted by a Secretariat headed by an Executive Director. (Section 4)
• All government agencies and instrumentalities are directed to extend full cooperation and assistance to the Alcohol Commission. (Section 5)
• Executive Order No. 580 is hereby amended accordingly. (Section 6)
• This Executive Order shall take effect immediately. (Section 7)
