Amendments to the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines

- Synthetic organic dyestuffs, synthetic organic luminophores, optical bleaching agents, and natural indigo are subject to an ad valorem duty of 20%. (Section 1)
- Colour lakes are subject to an ad valorem duty of 20%. (Section 1)
- Other colouring matter and inorganic luminophores are subject to an ad valorem duty of 20%. (Section 1)
- Yarn of man-made fibres (continuous) not put up for retail sale:
    - Articles not included in subheading B are subject to an ad valorem duty of 30%. (Section 2A)
    - Polyester yarn, except when imported directly by textile mills under prior joint authorization of the Tariff Commission and Board of Investments, is subject to an ad valorem duty of 50%. (Section 2B)
- Cotton, not carded or combed, is subject to an ad valorem duty of 10%. (Section 3)
- Wadding and articles of wadding, textile flock, and dust and mill neps:
    - Wadding for cutting up into cigarette filter tips is subject to an ad valorem duty of 50%. (Section 4A)
    - Other wadding and articles of wadding, textile flock, and dust and mill neps are subject to an ad valorem duty of 100%. (Section 4B)
- All laws, orders, decrees, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Decree are repealed or modified accordingly. (Section 5)
- This Decree takes effect immediately. (Section 6)

MALACAÑANGM a n i l a PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 908 March 19, 1976 AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE TARIFF AND CUSTOMS CODE I, FERDINAND E, MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree: Section 1. Heading Nos. 32.05, 32.06 and 32.07, Chapter 32 of the Revised Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines, as amended, are hereby further amended to read as follows: "32.05Synthetic organic dyestuffs (including pigment dyestuffs); synthetic organic products of a kind used as luminophores; products of the kind known as optical bleaching agents, substantive to the fibre, natural indigoad val. 20% "32.06Colours lakesad val 20% "32.07Other colouring matter, inorganic products of a kind used as luminophoresad val. 20% Section 2.
