EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 76 December 2, 1986
AMENDING SECTION 1 OF PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1955, BY INCLUDING THE NEW ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES COMMISSARY AND EXCHANGE SERVICE (NAFPCES) AND THE PC/INP SERVICE STORES SYSTEM (PC/INPSSS) AMONG THE EXEMPTION
WHEREAS, the recent economic crisis resulted in financial dislocation of every segment of our society, to include members of the New Armed Forces;
WHEREAS, the withdrawal of the tax-free privileges of the NAFP Commissary and Exchange Service and the PC/INP Service Stores System aggravated the financial and economic sufferings of the veterans and the members of the New Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Integrated National Police and their dependents;
WHEREAS, there is a need to alleviate the economic well-being as well as the morale of the guardians of peace and democracy of our country;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby direct and order that:

Rationale:
- The recent economic crisis resulted in financial dislocation for members of the New Armed Forces.
- Withdrawal of tax-free privileges for the NAFP Commissary and Exchange Service and the PC/INP Service Stores System aggravated the financial and economic sufferings of veterans, members of the New Armed Forces, Integrated National Police, and their dependents.

Provisions:
- Section 1 of Presidential Decree No. 1955 is amended to include the following among the exemptions from the withdrawal of duty and tax privileges (Sec. 1):
- New Armed Forces of the Philippines Commissary and Exchange Service
- PC/INP Service Stores System
- This Executive Order takes effect immediately (Sec. 2).
