EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 796 May 6, 1982

AMENDING THE COMPOSITION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN WATERWORKS AND SEWERAGE SYSTEM

WHEREAS, there is a need to increase the membership of the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System to enable it to take greater responsibility in the formulation of the System's policies, plans and programs;

NOW, THEREFORE, I FERDINAND E. MARCOS President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and President Presidential Decree No. 1416, de hereby order and direct:

Sec. 1. The composition of the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) is hereby amended as follows;

The Minister of Public Works and Highways	Chairman
The General Manager of the MWSS	Vice-Chairman
One (1) representative of the Labor Union representing majority of the rank and file of the employees of the System	Member
Four (4) others appointed by the President of the Philippines	Members

Amending the Composition of the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System

- The Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) is restructured as follows: (Sec. 1)
• The Minister of Public Works and Highways as Chairman
• The General Manager of the MWSS as Vice-Chairman
• One (1) representative of the Labor Union representing the majority of the rank and file employees of the System as a Member
• Four (4) other Members appointed by the President of the Philippines

- Section 4 of Republic Act No. 6234 is modified accordingly. (Sec. 2)

- The Executive Order takes effect immediately. (Sec. 3)
