Amendments to the Charter of the City of Marikina

- Composition of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (Section 1, amending Section 10 of RA 8223):
    - The Sangguniang Panlungsod is the legislative body of the City of Marikina.
    - It is composed of:
        - The city vice-mayor as the presiding officer.
        - Eight (8) regular Sanggunian members from each district, elected in the district where they reside.
        - The president of the city chapter of the Liga ng mga Barangay.
        - The president of the Panlungsod na Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan.
        - Sectoral representatives as members.

- Legislative Districts (Section 2, amending Section 53 of RA 8223):
    - The City of Marikina, being highly urbanized, shall have two legislative districts.
    - The two districts will commence at the next national elections after the effectivity of this Act.
    - First District: Barangays Sto. Nino, Malanday, Sta. Elena, San Roque, Calumpang, Tañong, Barangka, Industrial Valley Complex, and Jesus de la Peña.
    - Second District: Barangays Nangka, Parang, Concepcion Uno, Concepcion Dos, and Marikina Heights.

- Repealing Clause (Section 3):
    - All laws, executive orders, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Act are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly.

- Effectivity Clause (Section 4):
    - This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in at least two newspapers of general circulation.
