AN ACT CONSTITUTING THE FIRST DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE IN THE PROVINCE OF CEBU INTO TWO SEPARATE AND DISTINCT ENGINEERING OFFICES

Separation of the First Engineering District in Cebu Province
- The First Engineering District in Cebu Province under the Department of Public Works and Highways shall be divided into two separate districts. (Section 1)
- The existing First Engineering District office in Cebu City shall remain, and a new Fifth Engineering District office shall be established in Danao City, Cebu. (Section 1)

Coverage of the Two Engineering Districts
- The First Engineering District shall cover the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu, and the municipalities of Cordova, Consolacion, Tabogon, Bogo, Daan Bantayan, San Remegio, Sta. Fe Bantayan, Madridejos, and Tabuclan. (Section 2)
- The Fifth Engineering District shall cover the City of Danao and the municipalities of Liloan, Compostela, Carmen, Catmon, Sogod, Borbon, San Francisco, Poro, Pilar, and Tudela. (Section 2)

Division of Resources
- The current personnel, resources, and equipment of the First Engineering District shall be divided proportionately between the two engineering districts. (Section 3)

Funding for the New District
- The Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways shall include the funding requirements for the operationalization of the Cebu Fifth Engineering District in the department's program for the year following the enactment of this law and thereafter. (Section 4)

Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect upon its approval. (Section 5)
