REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9143 July 30, 2001
AN ACT CONVERTING THE BONIFACIO JAVIER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, MANDALUYONG CITY, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS BONIFACIO JAVIER NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. The Bonifacio Javier Elementary School, Mandaluyong City, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as Bonifacio Javier National High School.
Section 2. The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall immediately prepare the necessary guidelines for the conversion of the said school and to include in its program the operationalization of the Bonifacio Javier National High School, the initial funding of which shall be charged against the current appropriations of the Bonifacio Javier Elementary School and thereafter in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Conversion of Bonifacio Javier Elementary School into a National High School
- The Bonifacio Javier Elementary School in Mandaluyong City is converted into a national high school to be known as Bonifacio Javier National High School. (Section 1)
- The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall prepare guidelines for the conversion and include the operationalization of the Bonifacio Javier National High School in its program. (Section 2)
- The initial funding shall be charged against the current appropriations of the Bonifacio Javier Elementary School, and thereafter in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 2)
Transfer of Personnel, Records, Assets, and Liabilities
- All personnel, records, assets, and liabilities of the Bonifacio Javier Elementary School are transferred to and absorbed by the Bonifacio Javier National High School. (Section 3)
Repealing Clause
- All laws, presidential decrees, executive orders, rules, and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly. (Section 4)
Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect immediately upon its approval. (Section 5)
