Summary of Republic Act No. 8769Conversion of Mandaluyong High School - Mauway Annex into Mandaluyong East High School
- The Mandaluyong High School - Mauway Annex in Barangay Mauway, Mandaluyong City is separated from the Mandaluyong High School and converted into an independent national high school called the Mandaluyong East High School. (Section 1)
- The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall prescribe the necessary rules and regulations for the conversion. (Section 2)
- All personnel, records, assets, and liabilities of the Mandaluyong High School - Mauway Annex are transferred to and absorbed by the Mandaluyong East High School. (Section 3)
Funding and Implementation
- The initial implementation of the Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Mandaluyong High School - Mauway Annex. (Section 4)
- Thereafter, the necessary funds for the continuous operation and maintenance of the Mandaluyong East High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 4)
- The Act shall take effect upon its approval on March 28, 2000. (Section 5)

AN ACT CONVERTING THE MANDALUYONG HIGH SCHOOL — MAUWAY ANNEX IN MANDALUYONG CITY INTO A SEPARATE HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE MANDALUYONG EAST HIGH SCHOOL AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Mandaluyong High School — Mauway Annex in Barangay Mauway, City of Mandaluyong is hereby separated from the Mandaluyong High School in the City of Mandaluyong and converted into an independent national high school to be known as the Mandaluyong East High School.
