AN ACT CREATING FOUR ADDITIONAL REGIONAL TRIAL COURT BRANCHES AND TWO ADDITIONAL MUNICIPAL TRIAL COURT BRANCHES WITH STATION AT THE CITY OF ANTIPOLO, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 129, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE JUDICIARY REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1980, AS AMENDED, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. Section 14, paragraph (e) of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129, otherwise known as the "Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980", as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 14. Regional Trial Courts. -

"(e) One hundred Regional Trial Court Judges shall be commissioned for the Fourth Judicial Region.

An Act Creating Additional Regional Trial Court and Municipal Trial Court Branches in Antipolo City
- Amends Section 14 of the Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980 (Batas Pambansa Blg. 129) to increase the number of Regional Trial Court Judges for the Fourth Judicial Region to 100. (Section 1)
- Establishes 18 Regional Trial Court branches in the Province of Rizal and Antipolo City, with seats at Binangonan, San Mateo, Morong, Tanay, and Antipolo City. (Section 1)
- Amends Section 29 of the Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980 to establish 4 Municipal Trial Court branches in Antipolo City. (Section 2)
- Requires the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, to immediately include the operationalization of 4 additional Regional Trial Court branches and 2 additional Municipal Trial Court branches for the Province of Rizal with station at Antipolo City in the court's program, with funding to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 3)
- Authorizes the Supreme Court to issue necessary rules and regulations for the effective implementation of the Act, including the realignment of seats of existing branches and their territorial jurisdictions, if warranted. (Section 4)
- Specifies that the Act shall take effect 15 days after its complete publication in the Official Gazette or a national newspaper of general circulation. (Section 5)
