Creation of the Municipality of Guipos
• Separates the following barangays from their respective municipalities and constitutes them into the new Municipality of Guipos in the Province of Zamboanga del Sur: (Section 1)
- Barangays Guipos, Katipunan, Bagong Oroquieta, and Dalapang from the Municipality of San Miguel
- Barangays Datagan, Dagohoy, Balongating, Baguitan, Magting, Sikatuna, Dacsol, Guling, and Canunan from the Municipality of Dumalinao
- Barangays Lintum, Singclot and Litan from the Municipality of Dinas
- Barangay Regla from the Municipality of San Pablo
• Provides the technical description of the new municipality's boundaries through a series of lines with bearings and distances. (Section 2)
• Designates Barangay Guipos as the seat of government of the new municipality. (Section 3)
• Requires a plebiscite to be conducted within 180 days from the approval of the Act in the affected areas, with a majority vote required for ratification. (Section 4)
• Mandates the election of the mayor, vice-mayor, and members of the sangguniang bayan of the new municipality in the next regular election of local officials after ratification. (Section 4)
• Authorizes the Commission on Elections to conduct and supervise the plebiscite, with expenses taken from the Contingent Fund under the current fiscal year appropriations. (Section 5)
