Summary of Republic Act No. 9253Establishment of a National Science High School
- A national science high school shall be established in Barangay Jalaud, Municipality of Barotac Nuevo, Province of Iloilo, to be known as the Jose Monfort National Science High School. (Section 1)
- The school shall be under the supervision of the Department of Education (DepEd). (Section 1)
Location of the School
- The site of the national science high school shall be located within the compound of the Jose S. Monfort State College, Barangay Jalaud, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo. (Section 2)
Rules and Regulations
- The DepEd shall issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act. (Section 3)
Funding and Operationalization
- The Secretary of the DepEd shall immediately include the operationalization of the Jose Monfort National Science High School in its program. (Section 4)
- The funding for the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 4)
Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect upon its approval. (Section 5)

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY JALAUD IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAROTAC NUEVO, PROVINCE OF ILOILO TO BE KNOWN AS JOSE MONFORT NATIONAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL, APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. there shall be established under the supervision of the Department of Education (DepEd), a national science high school in Barangay Jalaud, Municipality of Barotac Nuevo, Province of Iloilo to be known as the Jose Monfort National High School.
SEC. 2. The site of said national science high school shall be located within the compound of the Jose S. Monfort State College, Barangay Jalaud, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
