REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11536
AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SEPARATE SCHOOLS DIVISION OFFICE IN THE CITY OF CANLAON, PROVINCE OF NEGROS ORIENTAL, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE SECTION 86 OF REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3445, ENTITLED "AN ACT CREATING THE CITY OF CANLAON"
SECTION 1.Section 86 of Republic Act No. 3445 is hereby deleted and a new Section 86 is hereby inserted, to read as follows:
"SECTION 86.Establishment of a Division City Schools. — There shall be established, under the supervision of the Department of Education (DepEd), a City Schools Division Office in the City of Canlaon which shall have jurisdiction over the school districts within the City of Canlaon and headed by a division superintendent who must possess the necessary qualifications required by the DepEd.
"The staff complement for the City Schools Division Office of the City of Canlaon shall also possess the necessary qualifications required by the DepEd.
"The salaries of the superintendent, supervisors, principals, teachers, nonteaching...
Establishment of a City Schools Division Office in Canlaon City
- A separate City Schools Division Office shall be established in Canlaon City, Negros Oriental, under the supervision of the Department of Education (DepEd). (Section 1)
- The City Schools Division Office shall have jurisdiction over the school districts within Canlaon City. (Section 1)
- The City Schools Division Office shall be headed by a division superintendent who must possess the necessary qualifications required by the DepEd. (Section 1)
- The staff complement for the City Schools Division Office shall also possess the necessary qualifications required by the DepEd. (Section 1)
Funding and Operational Expenses
- The salaries of the superintendent, supervisors, principals, teachers, non-teaching personnel, and other operational expenses of the primary, intermediate high schools, and other public schools in the city shall be borne by the national government. (Section 1)
- The amount necessary for the operationalization of the City Schools Division Office in Canlaon City shall be charged against the current appropriations of the DepEd. (Section 2)
- Thereafter, the amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 2)
Implementation and Effectivity
- Within ninety (90) days from the effectivity of this Act, the DepEd, in coordination with the city government of Canlaon, shall issue rules and regulations implementing the provisions of this Act. (Section 3)
- All other laws, decrees, executive orders, rules and regulations, and other issuances inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed or amended accordingly. (Section 4)
- This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation. (Section 5)
