AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE ALFONSO SPORTS ACADEMY AND TRAINING CENTER IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ALFONSO

Establishment of Alfonso Sports Academy and Training Center
- A sports academy and training center shall be established in the Municipality of Alfonso, Seventh Congressional District, Province of Cavite. (Section 1)
- It shall be the primary sports development and training center for the Seventh Congressional District of Cavite and other neighboring towns and provinces.

Upgrading and Modernization of Facilities
- The Province of Cavite with the Municipality of Alfonso, in coordination with the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), shall take necessary steps to:
    - Upgrade, improve and modernize existing facilities, equipment, and personnel. (Section 2)
    - Integrate them into the newly created sports academy and training center.
    - Create necessary training programs, appropriate tournaments and competitions.
    - Establish a system for maintaining and managing the facilities.

Funding and Appropriations
- The construction, establishment and operation shall be funded by: (Section 3)
    - The Municipality of Alfonso.
    - Funds allocated by the Province of Cavite.
    - Funds granted by the PSC and the Office of the President.
    - Grants and endowments from local or foreign sources intended for sports development.
- The Secretary of Education shall include the operation of the academy in the Department's programs, and its funding shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 4)

Implementation and Effectivity
- The PSC, in coordination with the Department of Education (DepED), the Provincial Government of Cavite and the Municipality of Alfonso, shall promulgate the necessary rules and regulations for implementation within ninety (90) days after the law's enactment. (Section 5)
- The Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation. (Section 6)
