REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10355

AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF JOSE B. LINGAD MEMORIAL GENERAL HOSPITAL IN SAN FERNANDO CITY, PAMPANGA FROM TWO HUNDRED FIFTY (250) TO FIVE HUNDRED (500), UPGRADING ITS SERVICES AND FACILITIES AND PROFESSIONAL HEALTH CARE, AUTHORIZING THE INCREASE OF ITS MEDICAL PERSONNEL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFORE

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The authorized bed capacity of the Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH) in San Fernando City, Pampanga is hereby upgraded from two hundred fifty (250) to five hundred (500) beds.

Section 2. The existing service facilities and professional health care services of the JBLMGH are hereby upgraded to conform with and be commensurate to the bed capacity increase as provided for in Section 1 hereof.

Summary of Republic Act No. 10355

Increasing the Bed Capacity of Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital
- The authorized bed capacity of Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH) in San Fernando City, Pampanga is increased from 250 to 500 beds. (Section 1)
- The existing service facilities and professional health care services of JBLMGH are upgraded to match the increased bed capacity. (Section 2)
- The existing workforce of JBLMGH will be increased accordingly, with the Department of Health determining the additional positions in coordination with the Department of Budget and Management and the Civil Service Commission. (Section 3)
- The increase in bed capacity from 250 to 500 beds will be implemented within a period of not more than 4 years from the approval of this Act. (Section 4)
- The Secretary of Health shall include the implementation of this Act in the Department's program, with funding included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 5)
- The Act shall take effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in at least two newspapers of general circulation. (Section 6)
