AN ACT INCREASING THE NUMBER OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CITY OF ANTIPOLO TO THE SANGGUNIANG PANLALAWIGAN OF RIZAL FROM THE PRESENT ONE (1) SANGGUNIAN MEMBER TO TWO (2) MEMBERS, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED EIGHTY-FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHT
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. Section 54 of Republic Act No. 8508, otherwise known as the Charter of the City of Antipolo, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 54. Election of Provincial Governor and Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members for the Province of Rizal. - (a) The qualified voters of the City of Antipolo shall be qualified to vote in the elections for provincial governor, vice governor, and the city's representatives to the sangguniang panlalawigan of the Province of Rizal; and

- Section 1 amends Section 54 of Republic Act No. 8508 (Antipolo City Charter):
• Qualified voters of Antipolo City can vote for the Provincial Governor, Vice Governor, and Antipolo City's representatives to the Rizal Provincial Council (Sangguniang Panlalawigan).
• In local elections after 1998, qualified voters of Antipolo City can vote for two (2) Sangguniang Panlalawigan members who will represent the city in the Rizal Provincial Council. (Basis: Section 1)
Repealing Inconsistent Laws
• All existing laws or parts thereof inconsistent with this Act are repealed accordingly. (Basis: Section 2)
Effectivity
• This Act shall take effect upon its approval. (Basis: Section 3)
