Summary of Republic Act No. 10209

Separation and Conversion of School
- The Ankileng National High School – Balugan Annex in Barangay Balugan, Municipality of Sagada, Mountain Province is separated from the Ankileng National High School and converted into an independent national high school to be known as Balugan National High School. (Section 1)

Transfer of Assets and Liabilities
- All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Ankileng National High School – Balugan Annex are transferred to and absorbed by the Balugan National High School. (Section 2)

Appropriations
- The Secretary of Education shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Balugan National High School, with the initial funding charged against the current year's appropriations of the Ankileng National High School – Balugan Annex. (Section 3)
- Thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 3)

Implementation
- The Secretary of Education shall issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act. (Section 4)

Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette. (Section 5)
