Summary of Republic Act No. 9920

Separation and Conversion of School
- The Lawa National High School – Ticulon Annex in Barangay Ticulon, Municipality of Malita, Province of Davao del Sur is separated from the Lawa National High School and converted into an independent national high school to be known as Ticulon National High School. (Section 1)

Transfer of Assets and Liabilities
- All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Lawa National High School – Ticulon Annex are transferred to and absorbed by the Ticulon National High School. (Section 2)

Appropriations
- The Secretary of Education shall immediately include the operationalization of the Ticulon National High School in the Department's program, with the initial funding charged against the current year's appropriations of the Lawa National High School - Ticulon Annex. (Section 3)
- Thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 3)

Implementation
- The Secretary of Education shall issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act. (Section 4)

Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette. (Section 5)
