Summary of Republic Act No. 10242

Separation and Conversion of School
- The Tabuk National High School – New Tanglag Annex in Barangay New Tanglag, Municipality of Tabuk, Province of Kalinga is separated from the Tabuk National High School and converted into an independent national high school to be known as New Tanglag National High School. (Section 1)

Transfer of Assets and Liabilities
- All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Tabuk National High School – New Tanglag Annex are transferred to and absorbed by the New Tanglag National High School. (Section 2)

Appropriations
- The Secretary of Education shall immediately include the operationalization of the New Tanglag National High School in the Department's program, with the initial funding charged against the current year's appropriations of the Tabuk National High School – New Tanglag Annex. (Section 3)
- Thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 3)

Implementation
- The Secretary of Education shall issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act. (Section 4)

Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette. (Section 5)
