Summary of Republic Act No. 10202

Separation and Conversion of School
- The Tambulig National High School – Sumalig Annex in Barangay Sumalig, Municipality of Tambulig, Province of Zamboanga del Sur is separated from the Tambulig National High School and converted into an independent national high school to be known as Sumalig National High School. (Section 1)

Transfer of Assets and Liabilities
- All personnel, records, assets and liabilities of the Tambulig National High School – Sumalig Annex are transferred to and absorbed by the Sumalig National High School. (Section 2)

Appropriations
- The Secretary of Education shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Sumalig National High School. (Section 3)
- The initial funding shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Tambulig National High School – Sumalig Annex. (Section 3)
- Thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 3)

Implementation
- The Secretary of Education shall issue rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act. (Section 4)

Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette. (Section 5)
