AN ACT SEPARATING THE VALLADOLID NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL EXTENSION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CARCAR, PROVINCE OF CEBU FROM THE VALLADOLID NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE ROBERTO SATO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The Valladolid National High School Extension in Barangay Calidngan, Municipality of Carcar, Province of Cebu, is hereby separated from the Valladolid National High School in the Municipality of Carcar and converted into an independent national high school to be known as the Roberto Sato National High School.

Section 2. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.

Section 3. All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Valladolid National High School Extension are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Roberto Sato National High School.

Summary of Republic Act No. 8789

Separation and Conversion of School
- The Valladolid National High School Extension in Barangay Calidngan, Municipality of Carcar, Province of Cebu is separated from the Valladolid National High School and converted into an independent national high school. (Section 1)
- The new independent national high school shall be known as the Roberto Sato National High School. (Section 1)

Issuance of Rules and Regulations
- The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue necessary rules and regulations to carry out the provisions of this Act. (Section 2)

Transfer of Personnel, Assets, Liabilities, and Records
- All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Valladolid National High School Extension are transferred to and absorbed by the Roberto Sato National High School. (Section 3)

Appropriation of Funds
- The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Roberto Sato National High School under the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. (Section 4)
- Subsequent funding shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 4)

Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect upon its approval on May 3, 2000. (Section 5)
