Republic Act No. 4883Amends Section 1 of Republic Act No. 4569 regarding the publication of judicial notices, advertisements for public biddings, notices of auction sales, and other similar notices or announcements required by law to be published in newspapers or periodicals of general circulation:
- All such notices or announcements shall be published in newspapers or publications published, edited, and printed in the same city and/or province where the requirement of general circulation applies. (Section 1)
- If there is no newspaper or periodical published in the locality, the notices or announcements shall be published in the newspaper or periodical published and edited in the nearest town, city, or province. (Section 1)
- No newspaper or periodical which has not been regularly published for at least two years before the date of publication of the notices or announcements shall be qualified to publish the said notices. (Section 1)
- The Act took effect upon its approval on June 17, 1967. (Section 2)
