Republic Act No. 45 &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp October 3, 1946 AN ACT TO FIX THE DATE OF THE REGULAR ELECTIONS FOR ELECTIVE PROVINCIAL, CITY AND MUNICIPAL OFFICES, AND OF THE ELECTION OF THE EIGHT SENATORS WHO WILL SUCCEED THOSE WHOSE TERM OF OFFICE WILL EXPIRE ON DECEMBER THIRTIETH, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FORTY-SEVEN Section 1. On the second Tuesday of November, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, and on the same day every four years thereafter, a regular election shall be held to elect the officials who will occupy all elective provincial, city or municipal offices throughout the Philippines. The officials elected shall assume office on the first day of January next following and shall hold such office for four years until their successors shall have been duly elected and qualified.
