AN ACT TO FIX THE SALARIES OF PHYSICIANS UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

Section 1. The annual salaries of physicians under the Department of Health shall be as hereinbelow fixed:


OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY

Senior specialist 4,800.00
Junior specialist 4,500.00

BUREAU OF HEALTH

Republic Act No. 675: An Act to Fix the Salaries of Physicians Under the Department of Health

I. Salary Rates for Physicians (Section 1)
- Specifies the annual salaries for various physician positions under different offices/bureaus of the Department of Health, including:
    - Office of the Secretary (e.g., Chief of Division: P6,000.00, Medical Assistant: P6,000.00)
    - Bureau of Health (e.g., Chief of Division: P6,000.00, Senior Health Inspector: P6,000.00)
    - Health Districts (e.g., District Health Officer for First Class A Province: P6,600.00)
    - School Medical and Dental Services (e.g., Chief of Section: P5,100.00, Clinic Physician: P2,760.00 - P3,480.00)
    - Bureau of Hospitals (e.g., Chief of Division: P6,000.00, Junior Leprologist or Junior Clinical Specialist: P5,400.00)
    - National, Provincial, and City Hospitals (e.g., Chief of Hospital: P4,800.00 - P6,000.00, Senior Resident Physician: P3,720.00 - P4,500.00)

II. Part-Time Physicians in Departmentalized Hospitals (Section 2)
- If a hospital is departmentalized, the chief of each clinical department working on a half-time basis shall receive a salary not more than 50% of their full-time salary.

III. Minimum Salary for Chiefs of Hospitals and Presidents of Sanitary Divisions (Section 3)
- No chief of hospital or president of a sanitary division shall receive a salary less than that of a charity clinic physician in the same locality.

IV. Repeal of Inconsistent Laws (Section 4)
- All laws, acts, or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

V. Effectivity (Section 5)
- This Act shall take effect upon its approval (March 14, 1952).
