AN ACT TO PROHIBIT COCKFIGHTING, HORSE RACING AND JAI-ALAI GAMES ON THE FOURTH OF JULY OF EACH YEAR
Section 1. Any provision of the existing law to the contrary notwithstanding, cockfighting, horse racing and jai-alai games are hereby prohibited on the fourth day of July of each year, the birthday of the Republic of the Philippines.
Section 2. Any person who shall violate the provisions of this Act, or permit or allow the violation thereof, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding two hundred pesos or by imprisonment not exceeding six months, or both, at the discretion of the court. In the case of partnerships, corporations, or associations, the criminal liability shall devolve upon the president, director, or any other official responsible for the violation.
Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
