    - Corporal: Maximum annual salary of ₱960 (Section 1)
    - Other Members: Maximum annual salary of ₱840 (Section 1)

- Second Class Municipalities:
    - Chief of Police: Maximum annual salary of ₱1,680 (Section 1)
    - Sergeant: Maximum annual salary of ₱1,200 (Section 1)
    - Corporal: Maximum annual salary of ₱960 (Section 1)
    - Other Members: Maximum annual salary of ₱840 (Section 1)

- Third Class Municipalities:
    - Chief of Police: Maximum annual salary of ₱1,260 (Section 1)
    - Corporal: Maximum annual salary of ₱960 (Section 1)
    - Other Members: Maximum annual salary of ₱840 (Section 1)

- Fourth Class Municipalities:
    - Chief of Police: Maximum annual salary of ₱960 (Section 1)
    - Other Members: Maximum annual salary of ₱600 (Section 1)

- Fifth Class Municipalities:
    - Chief of Police: Maximum annual salary of ₱600 (Section 1)
    - Other Members: Maximum annual salary of ₱480 (Section 1)

- The municipal council has the authority to fix the salaries within the prescribed limits. (Section 1)

Effectivity:
- The Act took effect upon its approval on June 20, 1947. (Section 2)

Republic Act No. 160 &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp June 20, 1947 AN ACT TO PROVIDE A SCALE OF SALARIES FOR MEMBERS OF THE POLICE FORCE OF MUNICIPALITIES, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE SECTION TWENTY-TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-THREE OF THE REVISED ADMINISTRATIVE CODE Section 1. Section twenty-two hundred and seventy-three of the Revised Administrative Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 2273. Salaries of members of police force. - The salaries of the chief of police and other members of the police force shall be fixed by the municipal council. "Except as otherwise specially provided, the annual salaries of members of the municipal police shall not exceed the amounts hereinbelow fixed: "In municipalities of the first class: for the chief of police, two thousand pesos; for the lieutenant of police, one thousand eight hundred pesos; for the sergeant, one thousand two hundred pesos; for the corporal, nine hundred and sixty pesos; and for other members of the police force, eight hundred and forty pesos.
