AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE MEDICAL INSPECTION OF CHILDREN ENROLLED IN PRIVATE SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES IN THE PHILIPPINES

Section 1. Effective July first, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, it shall be the duty of the principal, director and/or president of a private school, college or university, with a total enrollment of three hundred or more to provide part or full time physician for the yearly medical inspection of the pupils and students enrolled therein, who shall render reports at the end of every quarter, to wit: end of September, December, March and June of each school year, of their school health activities to the Director of Health. Said physician shall be placed under the direct supervision of the Bureau of Health.

Section 2. It shall be incumbent on the Bureau of Health to formulate a school health medical inspection program to be observed by private schools, colleges and universities in the Philippines.

Medical Inspection of Students in Private Schools, Colleges and Universities

- Requirement for Medical Inspection (Section 1):
    - Private schools, colleges, and universities with 300 or more students must provide a part-time or full-time physician for yearly medical inspection of students.
    - The physician must submit quarterly reports (end of September, December, March, and June) on school health activities to the Director of Health.
    - The physician is under the direct supervision of the Bureau of Health.

- School Health Medical Inspection Program (Section 2):
    - The Bureau of Health is responsible for formulating a school health medical inspection program to be observed by private schools, colleges, and universities.

- Penalty for Non-Compliance (Section 3):
    - Principals, directors, or presidents who fail to comply with this Act shall be fined not more than 500 pesos upon conviction.

- Repealing Clause (Section 4):
    - Any act or part thereof in conflict with this Act is hereby repealed.

- Effectivity (Section 5):
    - This Act shall take effect upon its approval, which was on June 14, 1947.
