MALACAÑAN PALACE Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES Proclamation No. 290 CALLING THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TO A SPECIAL SESSION FOR A PERIOD OF TEN DAYS BEGINNING JULY 25, 1938. By virtue of the powers conferred upon me by the provisions of Article VI, section three, paragraph (3) of the Constitution of the Philippines, and in order that the National Assembly may consider and pass an election bill and such other measures as the Chief Executive may from time to time, submit to it, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, hereby call the National Assembly to a special session for a period of ten days, commencing on Monday, July twenty-fifth, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, at four o’clock in the afternoon. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed. Done at the City of Manila, this 20th day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the third. [SEAL]...
