Summary of Executive Order No. 908

Constituting the Presidential Staff for Policy Research & Documentation

- Establishes the Presidential Staff for Policy Research & Documentation under the Office of the President.
- The Staff shall be headed by a Director and shall be composed of the following:
  - A Deputy Director
  - An Assistant Director for Policy Research
  - An Assistant Director for Documentation
  - Such other officers and employees as may be necessary. (Section 1)

- The Director shall be appointed by the President and shall have the rank of an Undersecretary. (Section 2)

- The Staff shall have the following functions and responsibilities:
  - Conduct policy research and studies on matters of national importance. (Section 3a)
  - Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of all major policies, programs, official activities and accomplishments of the President and the Administration. (Section 3b)
  - Perform such other functions as may be assigned by the President. (Section 3c)

- All departments, bureaus, offices, agencies and instrumentalities of the government are directed to extend full cooperation and assistance to the Staff in the performance of its functions and responsibilities. (Section 4)

- The funding requirements for the operations of the Staff shall be included in the budget proposal of the Office of the President under the regular annual appropriations. (Section 5)
