- A National Committee is created to take charge of the celebration of Philippine Independence Day on June 12, 1979. (Section 1)
Composition of the Committee
- The Committee is composed of the following members: (Section 1)
-- The Minister of Education & Culture (Chairman)
-- The Minister of Public Information (Vice-Chairman)
-- Various Ministers, Deputy Ministers, and other government officials as members
Functions of the Committee
- The Committee shall meet at the call of the Chairman. (Section 2)
- The Committee may create sub-committees as necessary to discharge its functions. (Section 2)
- The Committee is authorized to call upon any government department, bureau, office, agency, or instrumentality, including government-owned or controlled corporations, for assistance in discharging its duties and functions. (Section 3)

CREATING A NATIONAL COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE CELEBRATION OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY ON JUNE 12, 1979
Pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby create a national committee to take charge of the celebration of Philippine Independence Day on June 12, 1979.
The Committee shall be composed of the following:

The Minister of Public Information
Vice-Chairman
The Minister of Energy

The Minister of the Budget

The Presidential Assistant on National Minorities
