Summary of Presidential Decree No. 1322Creation of Barangay Don Bosco
- Section 1: The subdivisions of Better-living, Aero Park, Scienceville, and Levitown in Barangay La Huerta, Parañaque, Metro Manila, are detached and separated to form the new and independent Barangay Don Bosco, without affecting the legal existence of Barangay La Huerta.
- Section 2: Except as provided, all laws applicable to regular barangays shall apply to Barangay Don Bosco.
Transition of Officials and Property
- Section 3: The current elective barangay officials of Barangay La Huerta shall continue their duties in Barangay Don Bosco until new officials are appointed by the President. The appointed officials shall hold office until successors are elected in the next regular barangay elections, unless removed by the President. Necessary appointive officers and employees shall be appointed as provided by existing laws.
- Section 4: Upon the effectivity of this Decree, the proportionate share of Barangay Don Bosco in the obligations, funds, assets, and other property of Barangay La Huerta shall be transferred by the President upon the recommendation of the Commission on Audit.
Repealing Clause and Effectivity
- Section 5: All laws, executive orders, or regulations inconsistent with this Decree are repealed or modified accordingly.
- Section 6: This Decree shall take effect immediately.

PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 1322 April 3, 1978
CREATING BARANGAY DON BOSCO IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PARAÑAQUE, METRO MANILA
WHEREAS, the fundamental aim of the State is to hasten up the pace of socio-economic development throughout the country;
WHEREAS, the effective implementation of the declared programs of the government on development hinges primarily on the administrative efficiency of each and every local government units;
WHEREAS, it has been the clamor of the residents of the proposed barangay with the conformity of the elective officials of the locality to create the new barangay so as to achieve a closer supervision of the execution of the development programs of the locality;
WHEREAS, the creation of the proposed barangay will redound and contribute greatly to the upliftment of the socio-economic well-being of the residents therein;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree, as part of the law of the land, the following:
