PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 1333

CREATING BARANGAY PAMPLONA TRES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAS PIÑAS, METRO MANILA

WHEREAS, the fundamental aim of the State is to hasten up the pace of socio-economic development throughout the country;

WHEREAS, the effective implementation of the declared programs of the government on development hinges primarily on the administrative efficiency of each and every local government units;

WHEREAS, it has been the clamor of the residents of the proposed barangay with the conformity of the elective officials of the locality to create the new barangay so as to achieve a closer supervision of the execution of the developmental programs of the locality;

WHEREAS, the creation of the proposed barangay will redound and contribute greatly to the upliftment of the socio-economic well-being of the residents therein;

Summary of Presidential Decree No. 1333

Creation of Barangay Pamplona Tres
- Section 1: The subdivisions of Manuela, Greenview, Las Piñas Village, Verdant Acres, Casimiro, Manila Times, and Keyville in Barangay Pamplona, Las Piñas, Metro Manila, are detached and separated to form the new and independent Barangay Pamplona Tres.
- The legal existence of the mother barangay, Barangay Pamplona, is not affected.

Applicability of Laws
- Section 2: Except as provided in the decree, all laws applicable to regular barangays shall apply to Barangay Pamplona Tres.

Barangay Officials
- Section 3: The current elective barangay officials of Barangay Pamplona shall continue their duties in the newly created Barangay Pamplona Tres until new officials are appointed by the President.
- The appointed officials shall hold office until their successors are elected in the regular barangay elections following the issuance of the decree, unless removed earlier by the President.
- Necessary appointive officers and employees shall be appointed as provided under existing laws to organize the government personnel of Barangay Pamplona Tres.

Transfer of Assets and Liabilities
- Section 4: Upon the effectivity of the decree, the proportionate share of Barangay Pamplona Tres in the obligations, funds, assets, and other property of Barangay Pamplona shall be transferred by the President to the newly created barangay upon the recommendation of the Commission on Audit.

Repealing Clause
- Section 5: All laws, executive orders, or regulations inconsistent with the decree are repealed or modified accordingly.

Effectivity
- Section 6: The decree shall take effect immediately.
