Case Overview and Summary
Creation of Barangay Talon Tres in Las Piñas, Metro Manila- Detaches and separates the subdivisions of Carmencita, Paramount, Admiral Park, Pelayo, Aristocrat, Doña Purisima, and Golden Gate from Barangay Talon to form the new Barangay Talon Tres (Section 1)
- Provisions of law applicable to regular barangays shall apply to Barangay Talon Tres, except as provided (Section 2)
- Current elective barangay officials of Barangay Talon shall continue their duties in Barangay Talon Tres until new officials are appointed by the President (Section 3)
- Appointed officials shall hold office until successors are elected in the next regular barangay elections, unless removed by the President (Section 3)
- Necessary appointive officers and employees shall be appointed to organize the government of Barangay Talon Tres (Section 3)
- Upon effectivity, the proportionate share of Barangay Talon Tres in obligations, funds, assets, and property of Barangay Talon shall be transferred by the President based on the recommendation of the Commission on Audit (Section 4)
- Inconsistent laws, executive orders, or regulations are repealed or modified accordingly (Section 5)
- The Decree takes effect immediately (Section 6)

PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 1336
CREATING BARANGAY TALON TRES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAS PIÑAS, METRO MANILA
WHEREAS, the basic objective of government is to accelerate the pace of socio-economic development throughout the country;
WHEREAS, the government has engaged in intensified development projects geared towards the upliftment of the socio-economic well-being of our people;
WHEREAS, in the execution of said governmental projects, close supervision by local officials is a necessity so as to at least approximate a certain degree of achievement which will contribute to a large extent towards the political, social and economic upliftment of the residents of the localities involved;
WHEREAS, it has been the steady desire of the inhabitants of the area affected to create the proposed barangay so as to effectively attain the goals of the New Society throughout the land;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree, as part of the law of the land, the...
