Creation of the Municipality of Limasawa
- All barangays and sitios in the island of Limasawa, Municipality of Padre Burgos, Province of Southern Leyte, are detached and separated to form the new Municipality of Limasawa. (Section 1)
- The seat of government of the new municipality shall be in Barangay Triana. (Section 1)
- The legal existence of the Municipality of Padre Burgos is not affected. (Section 1)

Transition of Officials
- The current elective municipal officials of Padre Burgos shall continue to perform their duties in the new Municipality of Limasawa until new officials are appointed by the President of the Philippines and qualified. (Section 2)
- The appointed officials shall hold office until their successors are elected in a regular election and qualified, unless sooner removed by the President. (Section 2)

Appointment of New Officials and Employees
- Necessary appointive officers and employees shall be appointed as provided for under existing laws to organize and complete the government of the Municipality of Limasawa. (Section 3)

Transfer of Obligations, Funds, Assets, and Property
- The proportionate share of Limasawa in the obligations, funds, assets, and other property of Padre Burgos shall be transferred to and borne by the Municipality of Limasawa, as determined by the Commission on Audit and approved by the President. (Section 4)

Repealing Clause
- All laws, decrees, orders, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Decree are repealed, modified, or amended accordingly. (Section 5)

Effectivity
- This Decree shall take effect immediately. (Section 6)
