Creation of the Philippine Tourist Board
- The Philippine Tourist Board is created to coordinate efforts in the development and promotion of tourism in the Philippines, and to involve all entities directly or indirectly connected with tourism to provide a wholesome atmosphere for tourists in the Philippines.

Composition of the Board
- The Board is composed of the following members:
• Commissioner of Tourism (Chairman)
• President, Philippine Tourist & Travel Association (Vice-Chairman)
• Commissioner of Immigration
• Commissioner of Customs
• Director, Bureau of Quarantine
• Director, Civil Aeronautics Administration
• Director, Civil Aeronautics Board
• Manager, Manila International Airport
• Director, Parks and Wildlife Office
• Administrator, NACIDA
• Chief, METROCOM
• President, Philippine Chamber of Tourism
• President, Associated Hotels of the Philippines
• President, Hotels & Restaurant Association of the Philippines
• President, Advertising Council of the Philippines
• President, Philippine Press Institute
• President, Association of Tour Operators of the Philippines
• President, Philippine Society of Travel Agencies
• President, Taxicab Operators of the Philippines
• President, Bus Operators Association of the Philippines

Functions of the Board
- The Board shall serve as an advisory body to:
• Establish the proper direction for the advancement of tourism in the Philippines.
• Set long-term and short-term objectives for tourism.
• Establish standards for tourism.
• Recommend necessary legislation for the advancement of tourism in the Philippines.
